Funded Programs

The Future Men Community Outreach Mission offers support to athletes who are selected by the Committee. Selection relies on a number of key determinants, including financial need, commitment, character, sportsmanship, and when applicable academic performance. Two programs have been established to provide training and other resources that benefit the athletes in their competitive and educational endeavors.

Youth and Development Outreach

This program focuses on providing full or partial scholarships for athletes to receive training at the Alabama Wrestling Club. It also provides financial assistance for the cost of travel, tournament fees, and supplies for participation in State, Regional, and National competition. Any athlete that would otherwise be unable to participate due to financial hardship is considered for this program.

Daryl Cox Scholarship

This program focuses on providing an Annual Scholarship to a high school senior(s) to help subsidize the cost of Higher Education. The scholarship is presented in memory of Daryl Cox, who overcame tremendous odds after a near fatal car accident as a teenager. Author of Wrestling a Killer, Daryl’s life story embodied the work of a Christian and mentor serving the youth of Alabama until he passed away in 2006.
