2010 State Tournament

You and your team are invited to the

2010 Alabama Youth Wrestling State Championship hosted by the Hoover Wrestling Club.

Pre-registration is required for this tournament.

Deadline is February 13 at 11:59pm!

1) Be certain of your wrestler's weight class; your wrestler must have previously competed at that weight at least one USA tournament this season. (other than SchoolboyJ
2) Alabama USA Standards will be used for weight classes and age divisions.
3J There will be a skin check at this tournament.
4) Coaches must maintain a visible USA membership card to be allowed on mats and in the hospitality room. This will be strictly enforced. Only two coaches allowed mat side during a match. This will be strictly enforced.
5l Registration fee per wrestler is $15. Wrestlers must have their USA card AND track wrestling number to compete.
6) Optional weigh-in Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm for bantam, midget and novice age groups.
7) Each wrestler must compete in his appropriate age group and may only compete in ONE weight class. No changes will be allowed after registration.
8) There will be a one pound allowance for Bantam, Midget and Novice and a two pound allowance for the Middle School/Schoolboy Division.
9J Seeding will be used. When you preregister, please take time to note your wrestler's record and marquis wins in the seeding section.A seeding meeting will be held on Sunday, February 14th at 6pm and the information you provided will help seed your wrestler.

Seeding Meeting

Sunday February 14th at 6:00 pm in Hoover

The location will be at Hoover Fire Station #7 100 Inverness Parkway Hoover, AL 35242. Please Note that MapQuest and Google will NOT bring you to the exact location. However, you may use it to get you to the Parkway.

Directions:

From the South on I-65 : Exit at Valleydale Road (wraparound) and turn Left. You will pass Spain Park High School on the left. Then you will turn LEFT on Inverness Parkway. The Firestation will be your first LEFT. Parking is in the back.

From the North on I-65: Exit at Valleydale Road. Turn Left at the bottom of the ramp. You will pass Spain Park High School on the left. Then you will turn LEFT on Inverness Parkway. The Firestation will be you first LEFT. Parking is in the back.

From 280: Turn onto Valleydale Road. You will pass an apartment complex and golf course on the right. Turn Right onto Inverness Parkway. The Firestation will be your first LEFT. Parking is in the back.

School Boy / Middle School:
Registration and Weigh-in: 5:00 - 6:00 pm 

Wrestling Begins: 6:30 pm for all rounds except the finals

Born 1995-1997 (and meet AHSM middle school age requirements) 

Weights: 70, 77, 84, 91, 98, 105, 112, 120, 128, 136, 144, 152, 160, 175, 190, 210, 235

Optional Weigh-in (Bantam, Intermediate, Novice) 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Bantam:
Registration and Weigh-in- 6:30 - 7:15 am

Wrestling - 8:00 am - 10:15 am for all rounds except the finals

Born 2002-2003

Weights: 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70,75,90

Intermediate (Midget):
Registration and Weigh-in: 8:30 - 9:30 am

Wrestling - 10:30 am - 12:45 pm for all rounds but the finals

Born 2000-2001

Weights: 50, 55, 60, 65, 70,75, 80, 87, 95, 103, 112, 120, 140

Novice:
Registration and Weigh-in: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Wrestling - 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm for all rounds except finals

Born 1998-1999

Weights: 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 105, 112, 120, 130, 140, 165

Finals:
Battle of the Best (State Champion 64 vs1A vs 5A): 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm
State Championship Finals Wrestling Announcements: 5:30 pm
State Championship Finals Wrestling Begins: 6:00 pm
